We are now less than four months from our gathering! We have added a few more contacts to our list, but we still need information on Kelly Blake and Bill Lucy. The Comox Valley is a very popular spot in the summer months, so booking accommodations is vital. I have blocked off some units at Crown Isle Golf Resort (which is out our back gate) from July 27 – 31 to accommodate people travelling from afar. You can look them up online (www.crownisle.com), and if you would like one of these rooms, please let me know –
deliaroberts5@gmail.com – which type of room you would like and the dates you need it. There are 10 King Jacuzzi suites with 1 King bed and a queen convertible sofa in the living room. The cost for these units is $280.50 per night. There are two Fairway Codages, which have a king bed and a queen convertible sofa, for $289.95 per night, and one Loft suite available, which has a king bedroom, a queen convertible sofa in the living room, and two queen beds in the upstairs loft. This one is $327.25 per night. All units have mini kitchens. These rooms will be held for us until June 20, at which point any rooms not spoken for will be released. I will give Crown Isle a list of names, dates, and requested rooms, and you will pay upon check-in. Apart from Crown Isle, there is a Holiday Inn Express about a 7-minute drive down the hill. At the moment, they are quoting $257 per night. If you are campers, there are many beautiful spots locally, but they do book up quickly.

• We are planning a fun golf tournament at a family-friendly course on Wednesday, the 29th of July.
• Dinner July 29th – more details to come
• We would like to gauge interest in a wine tasting/picnic lunch at the Beaufort Winery, which is about a 15-minute drive from us. It’s a lovely spot to spend a few hours, and I can definitely recommend the wine! Children are welcome at this venue.

If possible, include a photo of you and whoever you got the recipe from, and a note about the dish. For example, I have my mother’s Butter Tart recipe, a Christmas staple as long as I can remember, which originally came from a Yukon Star cookbook sometime in the early 50s (or earlier).
